I am on a sort of journey to live more naturally. This is sort of a journey with a two-fold goal:
1) I want to find some more cheap ways of doing things. There are things that I can do fairly simply, easily, and cheaper than for what I can buy it for in the store. For example, I am finding so many things that I can do with just a gallon of milk!
2) I have a 9 months old daughter and I have dogs. Both are known for living at floor-level and are very good at keeping my floors very clean. For this reason, I have been buying Method products, at least to clean the floor. I'm terrified that one of them is going to come into contact with something - especially at floor-level - and this will have been cleaned with a toxic cleaner.
When my daughter was born, we did a few things that were both aimed at saving money and being the best for her and us healthwise. We started to cloth diaper, we use coconut oil instead of store-bought diaper creams (most aren't safe for cloth diapers, anyway), both have saved us money and has been healthier for her. I wanted to breastfeed/pump, but unfortunately, that wasn't in the cards for us. I do my very best to try to buy healthier food, especially organic food for her. Her daycare focuses on organic living.
I'm not entirely crispy-crunchy - we use disposable diapers on occasion, I LOVE Scentsy products, shop at Bed & Body Works, and I am addicted to Coca Cola (probably).
I want to go healthier and more natural, without going crazy about it.
About me: I am nearly 30 years old. I am a full-time mom, working full-time, and also a full-time student in a Master's program.
So, my goal for this blog is that I will share with you the ways that I am able to make my life both easier and more affordable, and I hope that you're able to share your tips with me!
